Meet Trinity Upton at Luxe Lift in Danville, IL: Skin Transformations, Lasers, and Real Life Behind the Treatment Room
If you have ever laid in Trinity’s treatment bed for a Hydrafacial, a custom facial, microneedling, dermaplaning, waxing, or a PicoLazer session, you already know she has that calm, steady touch that makes you instantly exhale. But what most people do not get to experience in a 45 minute appointment is who Trinity is as a person, what brought her into aesthetics, and why she cares so much about helping people feel confident in their own skin.
In this episode of the Aesthetically Awkward Podcast, Bobbi Fischer sits down with Trinity Upton, licensed esthetician and certified laser technician at Luxe Lift, for a real conversation about her journey, her life, and the treatments she loves most.
From Small Town Indiana to the Treatment Room
Trinity is a proud small town Indiana girl, and when she says small town, she means it. The kind of place with a couple stop signs, a gas station, and a pizza spot that feels like the center of the universe on a Friday night. She went to North Vermillion and grew up knowing everyone, which has its own set of pros and cons. The pro is comfort and community. The con is that everyone knows everyone’s business, and if you slip up, your aunt might tell your mom before you even get home.
She was involved in cheerleading, basketball, and track, and stayed active year round. An old sports injury eventually pushed her away from running, but that drive and discipline still shows up in how she works and how she continues to learn.
How Trinity Chose Esthetics
Like a lot of people, Trinity hit that senior year moment where graduation feels exciting and terrifying at the same time. She knew she wanted to keep learning, but she was unsure what path would actually fit. She had always been the friend doing prom makeup, homecoming makeup, and helping people feel pretty for big moments. That love of makeup led her to tour Indiana Wellness College in Carmel, Indiana, and something clicked.
Trinity started esthetics school the month after graduating high school. She intentionally jumped right in because she knew if she paused too long, her indecisive brain might talk her out of it. The program moved fast, and she loved that. She attended two days a week, which gave her time to work and keep up with school outside of class. In about nine months, she was ready to step into the industry and start building real experience.
When Skin Becomes Personal
One of the most relatable parts of Trinity’s story is that skincare became personal for her. She dealt with stress acne around the transition out of high school and into a brand new routine, and that pushed her deeper into skincare education. When you experience it yourself, you understand the emotional toll, the frustration, and the way it can change how you show up in the world.
That is part of what makes Trinity such a strong fit in medical aesthetics. She is not just recommending treatments because they are trendy. She is recommending what makes sense and what actually supports long term skin health.
First Job Experience and Learning the Basics
Trinity’s first role out of school was in a more traditional spa environment, which was honestly the perfect place to start. She learned the rhythm of client care, booking, product knowledge, and service flow. She performed custom facials, LED therapy, chemical peels, and microderm style treatments. She also had early dermaplaning experience while working in Indiana, and then later had to adjust when she moved into Illinois due to regulations at the time.
That early foundation matters. It builds confidence, communication skills, and the ability to work with all kinds of clients. Trinity will be the first to tell you that being naturally shy meant she needed time to get comfortable talking to new people all day long. That job helped her grow into the confident provider you see now.
What Brought Trinity to Luxe Lift
Trinity had Luxe Lift on her radar long before she ever applied. She had been following along, watching the clinic grow, and waiting for the right time. When she joined Luxe Lift in June 2025, she stepped into the medical spa side of aesthetics and immediately expanded her skills in a big way.
She started learning lasers and advanced treatments, and she has loved the challenge. Working alongside nurses and a nurse practitioner gave her a new kind of exposure and education, and she talks openly about how much she has gained simply by being around a medically driven environment.
Trinity’s Favorite Treatments
Trinity will always be a facial girl at heart. She loves custom facials because every person is different, and she enjoys tailoring the experience to what your skin actually needs that day.
But when it comes to more advanced treatments, PicoLazer is her favorite.
Why PicoLazer
Trinity is sensitive skinned, and that is one reason she loves PicoLazer so much. It is typically very well tolerated, and she feels confident recommending it because she has experienced it herself.
What surprised her most was her own before and after. Trinity was not dealing with heavy pigment. Her main concern was red acne scarring, and she did not expect the improvement to be as noticeable as it was. Once the photos were compared side by side, the results spoke for themselves.

A Simple Acne Friendly Routine That Actually Works
One of Trinity’s biggest personal shifts since joining Luxe Lift is simplifying her skincare. She moved away from the “ten step routine” energy and started using Face Reality in a more consistent, focused way.
Her routine is straightforward and repeatable. Cleanse, moisturize, and use acne medication strategically, especially when she knows she is prone to flares. She also admits what a lot of people do not want to say out loud. She is a picker. So keeping inflammation down and breakouts controlled matters even more, because the best pimple is the one that never shows up.
Trinity and Bobbi both reinforce this for anyone listening or reading: if you break out, do not pick. You will trade a short term bump for long term scarring. Prevention is easier and cheaper than correction.
What Trinity Wants to Learn Next
Trinity’s goals are simple and strong. Keep learning, get even more confident with lasers, and deepen product knowledge across every line in clinic. She also shares excitement about expanding into new service categories like Brazilian and bikini waxing and potentially lash and brow services like laminations and lifts as training becomes available.
At Luxe Lift, the expectation is never “just add it to the menu.” The expectation is education, hands on training, and doing it the right way so clients are safe and outcomes are consistent.
Life Outside Luxe Lift
Trinity is newly engaged, and she shares a sweet piece of her personal life in the episode. She and her fiancé have been together since 2020, and they have known each other even longer through mutual friends. They are currently doing a bit of a drive to see each other, but they are planning to relocate closer together, which means fewer miles on the car and hopefully fewer tire problems.
Her vibe outside of work is simple. Time with her person, quiet routines, and a life that feels grounded.
Trinity’s Biggest Message for Clients
If Trinity could leave you with one takeaway, it is this: skin is worth taking care of, and seeing a professional matters.
Not because you cannot learn things online, but because trends and influencer routines are not personalized. Your skin is not someone else’s skin. A good esthetician helps you build a plan, adjust when something is not working, and stay consistent long enough to see real change. It is less about judging what you see in the mirror and more about having a partner who can say, “Here is what is happening, and here is what we can do about it.”
