A Conversation at The Table: Aesthetics, Wellness, and Building Confidence with Luxe Lift

When I was invited to sit down with Alicia Moody on her podcast The Table, the conversation went far beyond injectables or beauty trends. The Table is a space for honest conversations about leadership, growth, and the decisions that shape meaningful businesses—and that made it the perfect place to talk about what aesthetic medicine really looks like behind the scenes.

During the episode, we discussed the evolution of Luxe Lift Aesthetics & Wellness, what patients actually come to us for, and why confidence, education, and ethical care are the foundation of everything we do.

What Aesthetic Medicine Really Is

Aesthetics is often misunderstood as being “just Botox and filler,” but in reality, it’s about improving skin health, restoring balance, and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin. At Luxe Lift, our services span injectables, lasers, microneedling, facials, and advanced skincare, paired with wellness offerings like hormone replacement therapy, weight management, thyroid optimization, and gut health support.

The common thread through all of it is intention. Treatments are never one-size-fits-all. Every patient starts with a consultation that looks at medical history, prior treatments, lifestyle factors, and personal goals. From there, we create a plan that makes sense for their face, their skin, and their life.

Lasers, Skin Quality, and Realistic Downtime

One topic we spent time on during the interview was laser technology—specifically Pico laser treatments and how they support skin rejuvenation. Pico lasers allow us to target pigmentation, sun damage, post-acne marks, and texture while preserving the surface of the skin. Because these treatments are non-ablative, most patients experience minimal downtime and are back to normal routines within a day.

When paired with medical-grade skincare that supports barrier repair and reduces inflammation, laser treatments become a powerful tool for long-term skin health, not just short-term cosmetic improvement.

Injectables Done the Right Way

Another major point of discussion on The Table was injectables—what patients should know before starting Botox or filler, and why natural results require restraint and experience.

At Luxe Lift, we don’t point out flaws or push treatments. Patients tell us what they notice and what they want to improve. From there, we set realistic expectations and choose treatments that enhance what’s already there. Sometimes that means Botox, sometimes filler, sometimes biostimulators, and sometimes recommending not treating an area at all.

We also talked openly about dissolving filler. When filler is placed incorrectly or migrates over time, dissolving and starting fresh can be the safest and most effective option. Taking that step often leads to better outcomes and restores facial harmony.

Biostimulators and Collagen Support

Biostimulatory treatments like Sculptra, Radiesse, and PRP were another highlight of the conversation. These treatments work by stimulating the body’s own collagen production, improving skin integrity and firmness gradually over time. Rather than adding volume immediately, they support structural changes that lead to healthier, more resilient skin.

When combined with RF microneedling or laser treatments, biostimulators can dramatically improve areas like the under eyes, cheeks, and jawline without surgery.

Wellness, Hormones, and Evidence-Based Care

We also addressed hormone replacement therapy—an area still clouded by outdated fear and misinformation. Much of that fear traces back to the Women’s Health Initiative study, which has since been widely criticized for its methodology and use of synthetic hormones.

Modern bioidentical hormone therapy, when prescribed thoughtfully and monitored appropriately, can significantly improve quality of life for many patients. At Luxe Lift, we screen carefully, educate thoroughly, and collaborate with other providers when needed. Wellness care is never about trends—it’s about informed decision-making and long-term health.

Defining Success Beyond Numbers

One of the final topics Alicia and I explored was success. While metrics and growth matter, success for me is rooted in balance—building something meaningful while still being present for family and life outside of work. That perspective influences how Luxe Lift operates, how we grow, and how we care for both patients and staff.

Being featured on The Table was an opportunity to share not just what we do, but why we do it—and to pull back the curtain on aesthetic medicine as a thoughtful, patient-centered field grounded in trust and education.
